The 2011 All Star Game participants were announced on Sunday afternoon. The 82^nd ASG will be played at Chase Field in Phoenix, AZ on July 12 at 8PM. It will air on FOX. The National League team will be managed by Bruce Bochy of the World Series Champion San Francisco Giants. The American League will be led by the AL champion’s Texas Rangers’ skipper, Ron Washington.

Here is the starting lineup as voted on by the fans (yes, that’s right. The fans didn’t vote Albert Pujols, Mark Teixeira or Ichiro in).

That’s correct: no CC, Hanson, Humber, Haren on Lester. However, if a starting pitcher pitches in the Sunday game before the ASG, he is not eligible to pitch in the ASG. Therefore, the aforementioned guys, as well as others, could take their spots as alternates.
